“My name is SKF and I was until quite recently, a federal worker working to protect climate and humans. When the federal administration changed in 2025, that all changed. In the first week, executive orders and actions came fast and myself and other federal workers were thrown into uncertainty and fear. Jennifer’s offer of Jackrabbit could not have come at a more necessary time for my health and soul. Me, my partner, our pup and friends and pups from different creative realms came to recharge. The home and the setting is a place of incredible peace, and invites spirituality and recharge in the truest sense. Jen and Jackrabbit Studios (aka Jackie, to those near and dear) have held me through diverse seasons of creative evolution. For an artist residency we organized at Jackie, Jen worked with us to shape a generous and adaptable container for our communal flourishing in a way that allowed our visions to grow into expansive expressions to meet our evolving needs. Jen stewards the land at Jackie and meets her clients with such sacred intention—honoring creative becoming as one of moving open-heartedly towards the unknown together—and it permeates through everything.
